PM Update: Gorgeous autumn weather continues

Ten straight days of dry, pleasant, and sunny weather with low humidity. It has been quite a run, and we aren’t through yet. Stretching even farther back from the last cold front which brought some rain and storms (which seems like months ago at this point), it has been a 3 to 4 week stretch of pleasant weather in our area. Such a stretch is nearly unprecedented — but we have settled into a benign weather pattern. One has to wonder when the pattern ends, how long the unsettled weather that follows will continue.

Until then, however, the weather over the next few days once again looks to be gorgeous. The thermometer reached a bit warmer today than it has over the last few weeks, with high temperatures reaching into the lower to middle 80’s. Later tonight, temperatures will fall to more comfortable levels, with the general theme of clear skies continuing. Thursday and Friday, not shockingly, look to feature more pleasant conditions with highs near 80.

Looking ahead to next week, forecast models are beginning to hint at the pattern breaking. Tropical moisture may eventually stream up the east coast and bring increased humidity with clouds and a chance of rain. But as of now, the unsettled weather chances remain both low — and too far into the medium range forecast to cause much concern.
