Weekend Overview: Pleasant, warmer conditions

With a cutoff low forming off the Southeast US Coast, and a disturbance looming in Southeast Canada, one might assume that unsettled weather would dominate this weekend’s forecast.

They would be wrong.

High pressure nudged in between those two aforementioned disturbances will keep our area in the midst of very pleasant conditions for the majority of the weekend. In fact, temperatures are expected to warm up into the upper 80’s and lower 90’s by Sunday, with plenty of sunshine anticipated throughout the area.

While the high pressure positioning may keep cooler air wedged near the shore, the overall forecast will remain calm and sunny for the weekend. If you’re headed to the beach, you’ve got the green light. A seabreeze is likely on both Saturday and Sunday, but it won’t bring overly cloudy or cold conditions when it passes — just a bit of a cool down. Here are the weather highlights for the next few days:

  • Pleasant, sunny, and warmer. Those are the words that best summarize the weather this weekend.
  • High temperatures on Saturday will reach the mid to upper 80’s, but will be a few degrees warmer on both Sunday and Monday.
  • The next chance for organized precipitation comes on Tuesday with a cold front, with some thunderstorms possible as well.
