3/21 All Zones AM Update: Arctic blast midweek, unsettled beyond

Some cloud cover and few scattered showers remain over the region this morning, associated with a very weak cold front and shortwave passing through. Subsidence will follow later this morning (sinking, drier air), with more clearing and sunshine for this afternoon. Temperatures will remain at seasonable levels today with light northwest winds and deep mixing in the atmosphere. High temperatures are anticipated to be in the mid-upper 50s over much of the region today. Some locations could reach around 60 degrees.

3/06 AM All Zones: Warmer, Unsettled till Wednesday, Then More Cold & Snow Potential

Happy Monday! A moderating trend will begin over the next few days as mid-level ridging builds in from the west. Accordingly, the weather will also turn more unsettled, as a few frontal boundaries move through the region. Sunshine this morning will be followed by increasing clouds as warm-air advection begins to increase. Temperatures should still rise well into the 40s, with a light southerly flow today.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected throughout the Northeast states from tonight through Tuesday, as a warm front slowly moves through from southwest to northeast. Some spotty showers and drizzle could break out especially after midnight, as the low-level moisture increases from southeast winds overnight. Cloud cover will keep temperatures in the  30s overnight.

2.26 Mid-AM Zones: Transient, unsettled weather returns

Wow, what a difference 24 hours can make! The strong cold front which moved through the region yesterday, producing widespread showers and thunderstorms with severe weather in the interior Northeast, brought much colder air with it. Cold air advection with impressive northwesterly winds behind the front as allowed much colder air to surge into the Northeast States, with temperatures actually running a few degrees below normal this morning!

1/26 PM Zone Update: Colder weather arrives this weekend

After some showers this morning, skies cleared for more sunshine with temperatures in the 50s. It will be breezy this evening with drier westerly winds possibly gusting over 35 mph across parts of region this evening. This is due a tighter pressure gradient over the region. Colder air begins arriving later tonight as temperatures fall into the lower to middle 30s.
