NWS confirms derecho in New England on October 7
The National Weather Service has confirmed that a derecho occurred in New England on October 7th, 2020. More than 200 damaging wind reports were received from New York to Massachusetts.

A weak low pressure system will develop off the Mid-Atlantic coast this evening. This will lead to continued dreary and showery conditions through Tuesday morning.
Pleasant and warm conditions will continue this weekend, with plenty of sunshine. Unsettled weather will return to the area early next week, as moisture from the remnants of Hurricane Delta moves up the East Coast.
