Winter Weather Advisory issued for NYC as another snowstorm approaches

The National Weather Service issued a Weather Advisory for the NYC Metro Area from Thursday morning through Friday morning, with the expectation of 4-8″ of snow and the possibility of travel delays and difficulties. A Winter Weather Advisory means that winter weather impacts are likely during the next 24-36 hours. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect to the west and southwest of NYC, in much of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Winter Storm Watch issued for NYC as more snow looms

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Watch for the NYC Metro Area and surrounding areas, effective from Thursday through Friday. Another winter storm will impact the area starting Thursday morning, and could bring significant snowfall to much of the area. The storm system is expected to linger in the area until Friday afternoon before pulling away.

Rain through Tuesday morning, more snow possible late week

An area of low pressure will move northward into New England through Tuesday, leading to rounds of steady rainfall in the NYC Metro Area. The majority of cold air will remain relegated to the interior and higher elevations, where periods of sleet and freezing rain are expected. Pleasant weather will return later Tuesday into Wednesday before another winter storm approaches late week.

Snowstorm cleanup begins, but wintry pattern will continue

Northern NJ and the NYC Metro Area were left digging out from more than 15 inches of snowfall on Tuesday morning, after a significant snowstorm impacted the area on Monday. A wintry weather pattern is likely to continue, with cold and additional snow chances as soon as this weekend.
