The same calm, cold, and dry conditions that have dominated the past week continue today. However, these conditions are expected to change by Sunday as an area of mixed precipitation & rain moves into the area along with some slightly “warmer” temperatures!

Light snow moved across much of the New York City metro area early this morning with 1-3″ being reported over the majority of the area. Active times look to continue as we’re tracking not one, but two more systems that have the potential to deliver some impactful snow to the region!

The weak area of low pressure that failed to produce light snow over much of the New York City area has quickly exited off the coast this afternoon. Unfortunately, we have to watch for another system on Wednesday that has the potential to produce another light wintry mix for the area.

Today has been quite a pleasant way to end the workweek across the entire New York City metro area as highs rose into the middle 50’s to lower 60’s! These mild conditions will be short-lived as we turn our attention to two areas of low pressure that have the potential to bring some wintry weather to the area.
