3/31 All Zones AM Update: Heavy Rain Likely By Tonight, More Wintry Mix Possible Well North

Periods of rain overnight and this morning, have been associated been mid-level warm-air advection and frontogenesis, well ahead of surface and closed mid-level low over the Ohio Valley this morning. Some sleet or ice pellets have also been reported. But with temperatures warmer at the surface and aloft, no wintry precipitation of any consequence appears likely for most of the region this morning or afternoon.

3/30 All Zones AM Update: Significant Storm with Heavy Rainfall Likely on Friday

Happy Thursday! High pressure will support another beautiful day for the region with more sunshine and dry condtions. Some high clouds will arrive by the afternoon hours, ahead of the next storm system approaching from the west. High temperatures today will be a little cooler than on Wednesday– in the lower to middle 50s. But with the center of high pressure near the region, winds will be much calmer this afternoon.

3/24 Interior Zones AM Update: Light Wintry Mix Possible Today, More Unsettled Weekend Weather

Happy Friday! Today, a warm front and shortwave will producing some areas of light snow, sleet and/or freezing rain  over parts of Western NY and PA. This activity will be moving into Northeast PA, Southeast NY, Northwest NJ and Northwest CT, around 10am to 12pm noon. No significant wintry hazards are anticipated. But driving on the roads may become a little more treacherous late this morning and early this afternoon.
